“I thought I didn’t want a Pyjama Angel anymore, but now I got to do more things that I wanted to do and choose what I wanted to do.

- Teen Life Skills Past Participant (Impact Report, 2024)

We know how important it is to keep supporting our young people as they grow. Our Teen Life Skills (TLS), an extension of the Love of Learning Program, is designed for young people aged 12 to 24 to help them build confidence and essential life skills as they move into adulthood. Staying connected with their Pyjama Angels during this time is so important, and TLS gives both teens and volunteers the tools and support they need to keep building strong, positive relationships.

Past Workshops

We’re excited to share some of the wonderful workshops we’ve recently hosted as part of the TLS program - full of opportunities for learning, connection, and fun!

Gameloft Tour and Workshop, Brisbane

Young people and their Pyjama Angels had an incredible time at Gameloft Design and Development studio in Brisbane City. They discovered the diverse pathways that many creative team members took to enter the gaming industry. A live demonstration of Gameloft's latest game release was a major highlight, sparking curiosity and excitement about its functionality and gameplay. Young artists and game enthusiasts left the workshop feeling inspired and eager to explore the world of game design!

Barista Course, Melbourne

Teen coffee enthusiasts were buzzing with excitement at this workshop, where they learned about the journey of coffee beans from harvest to espresso shot. The teens got hands-on experience using professional machines to create lattes and cappuccinos, perfecting their barista skills with each attempt! New friendships were brewed alongside the coffee, making it a fun and skill-building experience for everyone involved. Upon completion, the participants received a certificate, a great addition to their resumes!

Jewellery Making, Brisbane

Participants were introduced to various tools and techniques for crafting their own earrings and bookmarks, boosting their creativity and confidence with each finished piece! The workshop was followed by a delightful sausage sizzle, providing a relaxing and enjoyable way to socialise and share their creations with fellow participants. It was a day filled with creativity, camaraderie, and delicious food!
