Fairy Bread Day is just around the corner! We’re thrilled to be partnering with Dollar Sweets for Fairy Bread Day on November 24th again. When you purchase Dollar Sweets products, 10 cents from each item will be donated to us throughout November. 

While the classic version of fairy bread is always a crowd-pleaser, we’ve put together four super easy and fun fairy bread inspired recipes that put a bit of a twist to the nostalgic treat. Whether you’re hosting a morning tea or party at home, school, or work, these recipes will bring joy and sprinkles to your day!  

1. Fairy Marshmallow Bites

This is super easy, low effort, and squishy fairy bread! Swap out bread for marshmallows (and maybe skip the butter) making it a fun and bite-sized treat. It’s perfect for little hands and a quick colourful session in the kitchen.

You’ll need:

  • Marshmallow
  • 100s and 1000s
  • Water

Instructions: 

  1. Cut the marshmallows into fun shapes. 
  2. Lightly wet the top of each marshmallow.
  3. Dip the wet part into 100s and 1000s.
  4. Let them dry and enjoy! 

2. Sprinkle Cookies

Add a crunchy twist to classic fairy bread! It’s a simple way to turn store-bought or homemade cookies into a festive treat with icing and sprinkles. 

You’ll need:

  • Biscuits of your choice
  • Icing
  • 100s and 1000s

Instructions: 

  1. Make your icing (or use store-bought). 
  2. Spread icing on each biscuit. 
  3. Dip the icing into 100s and 1000s. 
  4. Let them set and serve!  

3. Confetti Cloud Cake

This cake is perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or just to sprinkle a little extra magic! What could go wrong with a sponge cake with colourful toppings? 

You’ll need:

  • Sponge Cake 
  • Jam and/or whipped cream (optional) 
  • Icing or whipped cream 
  • 100s and 1000s

Instructions: 

  1. Spread jam and or whipped cream on one sponge layer (optional).  
  2. Place the second sponge on top. 
  3. Cover with icing or whipped cream.  
  4. Sprinkle with 100s and 1000s.

4. Twist and Taste Triangles

This version combines traditional fairy bread with savoury or nutty spreads for a unique twist. If you’re not too sure to be bold, see the verdict on Vegemite fairy bread here from our team! The result might surprise you.  

You’ll need:

  • White bread  
  • Butter 
  • Vegemite (Alternative: peanut butter or Biscoff) 
  • 100s and 1000s 

Instructions: 

  1. Butter the bread. 
  2. Spread your chosen flavour (Vegemite, peanut butter, or Biscoff).  
  3. Sprinkle 100s and 1000s.  
  4. Cut into triangles and serve.
