The sweetest day of the year, Fairy Bread Day, is taking place on November 24! There are countless creative ways to host your Fairy Bread Day, whether you’re planning a themed menu, school event, workplace morning tea, or even a backyard bash! This day is a joyful opportunity to bring people together, raise funds and sprinkle kindness for children living in out-of-home care. We are going to talk through step by step how you can make this the sweetest Fairy Bread Day to date!

Getting Started

1. Register and set up your fundraising page

Sign up here and set up your fundraising page to get started. Your page helps you spread the word and encourage online donations. If you’d like your personalised QR code poster or any personalised marketing materials to help promote your fundraiser, reach out to the ‘sprinkle squad’ via email at donate@thepyjamafoundation.com. We would love to help!

2. Purchase sprinkles from Dollar Sweets

Grab your favourite sprinkles from Dollar Sweets to make your magical fairy bread. For every purchase made in November, 10 cents will be donated to The Pyjama Foundation from Dollar Sweets. How sweet is that!

3. Spread the word (and the butter)

Share your fundraising efforts on social media and via email to boost awareness and donations. Don’t forget to tag @thepyjamafoundation, @fairybreadday, and @dollarsweets - we’d love to see your creations!

4. Download your resources

The Fairy Bread Day website offers a range of free resources to help you plan, promote, and organise. Download everything you need to make your event more impactful here.

Fundraising Ideas

For Cafes

Create a fairy bread-themed menu, and a portion of the sales can be donated to The Pyjama Foundation. Previously, cafes featured fairy bread cookies, pastries, and even themed drinks! You can also encourage gold coin donations or set up an online giving option to spread kindness with every bite.

For Workplaces and Schools

Morning Tea Fundraiser:

Host a fairy bread-themed morning tea and invite guests to donate to join in. This sweet and simple event is a fun way to raise funds while celebrating kindness and connection.

Sprinkle Challenge:

Get creative with fairy bread designs and challenge friends, colleagues, or students to make the most imaginative slice! From rainbow patterns to smiley faces, it’s a colourful and artistic way to raise awareness and donations.

Bake Sale:

A bake sale is fun and easy to raise funds while sprinkling kindness. Supporters can bake and sell fairy bread-inspired treats (for example, slices, cupcakes, or cookies) at school, work, or in the community.

At Home

Host your Fairy Bread Day at home with classic fairy bread, pancakes by the pool, fairy toast, or fairy bread sticks. Organise a backyard picnic or kitchen party and make it a moment of joy and giving with family and friends. You can even sell some treats to your neighbors to make a bigger difference.

After Your Fairy Bread Day

Share your impact

Once your Fairy Bread Day activity wraps up, celebrate the impact you’ve made! Share photos, stories, and fundraising results with your community. Every effort helps empower children in care and change the direction of their lives.

Say thank you

Take a moment to thank everyone who supported your fundraiser. A simple thank-you helps acknowledge their generosity and strengthens the spirit of kindness that Fairy Bread Day is all about. We’ll also be celebrating your collaborative efforts across our channels, so keep an eye out!
